“The Gift You Wish You Got Guide” – Sexy Sleeves
There are multiple variations of vibrators and toys designed for individuals who have a vagina. But relatively less toys specifically designed for individuals who have a penis. Every once in awhile I like to review something specifically made for the penis, and luckily I have a great participant to help me. The Tenga 3D is one of the newer masturbation sleeves on the market and an improvement from the Tenga Eggs that I’ve reviewed before.
The Tenga 3D is part work of art, part masturbation sleeve. I received the Spiral version, which reminds of something rather Escher-esque with it’s rotating stair-like plates that create an interesting spiraling pattern. To use the 3D you reverse it, placing those little stairs inside the sleeve and revealing a smooth outer surface. Then reversing it again to clean and dry.
The Tenga 3D is made of TPE/Elastomer material which means comfortable consistency but slightly porous and cannot be disinfected. So sharing the Tenga 3D with a partner should include a condom if not fluid-bonded. Those who enjoy Tenga Eggs but hate the “single use” of these sleeves may want to invest in the Tenga 3D line which also includes the Polygon. The Tenga 3D sleeves are reusuable and easy to clean.
So how does the 3D actually feel? My wife was my willing participant to try out the Spiral and relay her experiences back to me. The spiral stairs create an interesting friction which unlike some handheld sleeves (like the Fleshlight), this sensation can be intensified with the hold of your hand around the sleeve. She enjoyed the easy clean-up and found the Tenga 3D to be less squishy and “creepy” as the Tenga Eggs.
My wife found few downsides to the Tenga 3D Spiral. For those who enjoy longer sessions she did find the Spiral to create too much friction, even with ample lube. Individuals who are uncircumcised may not find this to be an issue with longer use. The drying of the 3D can be a slight issue as to keep lint off the sleeve (or cats), the case needs to be closed. This seals off any circulating air and makes drying time longer. These are the only issues that my wife (who can be picky with toys) found in this masturbation sleeve.
What I love about the Tenga 3D Spiral is that it is a toy for the penis that does not pretend to be anything but an interesting pattern. No fake vulvas, breasts or anything resembling the female anatomy. To me it’s like the ultimate masturbation sleeve for us nerdy kids who like interesting patterns and shapes with a clean look. For those not knowledgeable of masturbation sleeves or the Tenga brand, I wouldn’t expect them to even look at the 3D Spiral and know what it’s purpose is.
